Why does the area matter?

Gouri is a liquid PCL collagen booster with no particles, so it spreads in a sheet along the layer where it is placed. Even if the target layer is the same, three things change from area to area.

• Depth: in thin skin, the same layer sits shallower.
• Point spacing: wide areas get generous spacing, and areas where it spreads poorly get tighter spacing.
• Amount: thin areas feel the same amount more, so we reduce it.

How we think about each area

• Cheeks and cheekbones: a large area where product spreads well, so we space points generously. This is where Gouri's strengths show most.
• Forehead: the skin is tightly attached, so holding the layer is tricky. We place points closer together.
• Jawline and lower jaw: borders tend to show against the cheek, so we connect the plan with the cheek to avoid a visible edge.
• Mouth area: a lot of movement, so we reduce the amount and watch the layer closely.
• Eye area: the thinnest skin. We reduce further, or depending on the skin, leave the area out of the plan.

Why design the whole face at once?

Because Gouri covers an area rather than filling a spot, we find planning the whole face together gives a more even result than treating areas separately. If only the cheeks are done and the jawline skipped, a line can show between them. The light also moves more evenly, and we start with one session as the baseline because the area can be covered in one go.

What about the neck, hands, and chest?

Gouri is used on the face, and at Miso Clinic we use it on the face only. If you want the neck, back of the hands, or decolletage, we look at other methods suited to those areas. Skin thickness and movement differ, so carrying a facial plan over unchanged is not always right.

• Layer: deep dermis. We choose the layer first, then divide the points.
• Range: the full face, with spacing and amount varied by area.
• Tool: a cannula in suitable areas, to lower bruising and vessel risk.
• Pace: we start conservatively and decide at four weeks whether to add more. There is no injection to reverse this material, so starting on the lighter side is safer.
