D'Classy Cannot Be Dissolved: Why We Start With Less, Not More | 디클래씨는 녹이는 약이 없어요, 그래서 모자란 듯 넣습니다

🇺🇸 English

One-line answer: D'Classy is a calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) product, and CaHA has no established dissolving agent. That single fact shapes the whole technique: start with less, inject into the right deep layer, and add at the next session if needed. And note that we could not find published clinical trial data for D'Classy itself; Radiesse data does not automatically transfer to it.

The first sentence about this product is "it cannot be undone"

With hyaluronic acid fillers, an overfilled result can be reduced with hyaluronidase. CaHA offers no such exit. In a cadaver artery experiment, intravascular CaHA did not break down even when hyaluronidase was applied.

So the design logic flips. With HA you can fill generously and refine. With CaHA, the safe direction is to start under the target and add later. What is missing can be added at the next visit; what is already in can only be waited out. If a clinic promises to "finish it in one session," it is fair to ask how that promise squares with a material that cannot be dissolved.

Why we do not inject it superficially

In pooled CaHA adverse event data, 89% were nodules, and 60% appeared more than a month after injection. Lumps felt right after the procedure are usually non-inflammatory pooling of product within one layer; in an ultrasound study of 27 such patients, every nodule sat within the fascia layer. Product placed too superficially can be felt or even seen through the skin, and because CaHA is whitish, shallow placement can show as color. "Not shallow" and "not piled in one spot" are the two rules that keep coming back in this family.

D'Classy and Radiesse: same family, different data

D'Classy is licensed in Korea as a tissue restoration material, with an approved purpose of temporary improvement of facial wrinkles. Radiesse carries multiple published trials, including its FDA approval studies. For D'Classy itself, we could not find published clinical trial data, and no public comparison of the two products' microsphere concentration or gel composition exists.

That does not make D'Classy a bad product. It is a licensed material. It means you cannot say "it is CaHA, so the Radiesse studies apply as is." Belonging to the same family and carrying the same evidence are two different things. For the family as a whole, a 2024 systematic review of 13 controlled CaHA studies with 1,171 patients noted bias risks and heterogeneity large enough to make pooled analysis difficult.

Checking the product

The product box carries a device license number under Korean law. The long number on a clinic's website is usually an advertising review number, which is different. You can ask to see the box before the procedure. We show it when asked.

How I decide at Miso Clinic

I do not recommend D'Classy across the board. I look at how deep the hollowing is, how thick the skin is, and whether the goal is one that can live with an irreversible material. The amount always starts on the low side. And I tell patients plainly that D'Classy's own clinical data is not published. Separating what is known from what is not seems like the least a consultation owes you.

Worth checking at any consultation

  • Were you told first that this material cannot be dissolved?
  • Which layer will it go into, and how will shallow pooling be avoided?
  • Does the plan start with less and add later, or aim to finish in one go?
  • Is the product being explained with its own data, or with Radiesse's?
  • What is the path if a nodule appears, early or late?

FAQ

Q. Can D'Classy be dissolved if the result is too much? No established dissolving agent exists for CaHA. In a cadaver artery experiment, CaHA did not break down even with hyaluronidase. Avoiding overcorrection is the core of the technique.

Q. Is D'Classy the same as Radiesse? Same CaHA family, not the same evidence. We could not find published trials for D'Classy itself, and no public head-to-head comparison of the two products exists.

Q. What happens if a lump appears? Timing matters. Early lumps are usually non-inflammatory pooling; in one ultrasound study of 27 patients, all sat within the fascia layer. Lumps appearing after a month or more need a different approach, so note when you first felt it.
