CellReDM and Lituo Are Both hADM: So What Actually Differs?

🇺🇸 English
One-line answer: CellReDM and Lituo are both hADM (acellular human dermal matrix) boosters, so the goal is identical: replacing lost dermal material rather than stimulating the skin to make more. What differs is particle size, about 75 micrometers for CellReDM, and published evidence, which exists for Lituo in the form of one split-face randomized trial. We choose between them by area and skin thickness, not by ranking.
What hADM is, and why I mention the source first
hADM is what remains of donated human skin after the cells and DNA are removed: collagen, elastin, and glycosaminoglycans, the structural material of the dermis. Instead of prodding your skin to produce collagen, it supplies the material directly. Among booster categories, only hADM works this way. Many brochures skip over the fact that the raw material is human skin. I bring it up before every treatment, because some people are uncomfortable with it, and that is a perfectly good reason to design the plan around a different category. Legally, hADM is regulated as human tissue in Korea, not as a medical device.
Same idea, two differences
What they share: both are hADM, both are distributed as human tissue, and neither creates volume. The differences come down to two things. First, particle size. CellReDM (made by Hans Biomed, distributed by Hugel in Korea) grinds its particles to roughly 75 micrometers by the manufacturer's published figure. Larger particles mean more injection resistance, which means more pain and a higher chance of the product bunching in one spot. On a thick cheek that rarely matters. On thin under-eye or crow's-feet skin, it shows. Second, evidence. Lituo (L&C Bio) has one published human study: a split-face, double-blind randomized trial in 20 people over 20 weeks, with hyaluronic acid on the control side. For CellReDM itself, we could not find a published clinical trial.
So which one is better?
There is no head-to-head study, so there is no honest way to rank them. We stock both for a simple reason: a clinic with only one product ends up using that one product everywhere. Thin, delicate areas such as around the eyes get the finer-particle CellReDM considered first; broad planes such as cheeks and forehead get Lituo considered first. That is clinical judgment, not trial data. And we do not transfer Lituo's trial results onto CellReDM. Same category, different product.
When neither is the right tool
If your cheeks or temples have hollowed, hADM is the wrong answer, because it does not build volume. That conversation belongs to fillers or CaHA. A sagging jawline belongs to lifting devices. On the other hand, skin that has become reactive after repeated lasers or lifting sessions is exactly where low-irritation options like hADM or polynucleotides earn their place.
FAQ
Q. It is made from human skin. Is that safe? The raw material is donated human skin, with cells and DNA removed so only the structural components remain. Donor tissue goes through infection screening and tissue-bank tracking. If the idea still bothers you, we can build the plan from non-human-derived categories instead.
Q. How many hADM sessions do I need? No standard count has been established by research. I do one session, watch the course, and decide on more together with the patient. I do not sell multi-session packages up front.
Q. Can CellReDM be used around the eyes? Its fine particles were designed with thin areas in mind, but whether your eye area is a candidate depends on skin thickness and condition, judged in person.
